Racing around the buoys on monday night is a fun endeavor. Especially when you have a highly talented world class crew on a state of the art racing machine. None of which we had.
It was the first race for both the youngest crew member (I’m almost 2!) and the oldest (I’m 65! How the #$%@ did that happen so fast!?!).
The rest of us fit somewhere between. Robby showed up a little late (something about being stuck in a bar) but we not only got out to the starting line on time, we actually nailed the start. Thanks to an ugly tack. If it had been smartly done, we would have been over early. In any case we gleefully charged to windward.
Sailing with good people is an absolute joy. We had fun, the kids had fun, and we think we did ok during the race.
Great evening.
